2:00 pm  – Alabama Department of Environmental Management Grant Writing Workshop 

Join us for a concise session on managing ADEM grants. Learn how to effectively utilize funds, meet reporting requirements, and leverage events for community engagement. Whether you've received a grant or are seeking funding, this session provides essential guidance for maximizing your impact.

3:30 pm -- Alabama Recycling Grant Fund Award Celebration

Join us for an exciting presentation by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) as they award over 2 million dollars in funding to support recycling infrastructure and programs across the state. Learn about impactful projects, engage with stakeholders, and celebrate efforts to advance recycling in Alabama.

From urban centers to rural communities, learn how various programs are making a difference and explore opportunities for collaboration and improvement.

10:30 am – “Growing Recycling from the Ground Up” Panel: The Recycling Partnership

Recycling is not one thing but a series of loosely connected but highly interdependent parts -- from store shelves to consumers to collection to processing to the recycler and the ultimate end markets. Delivering a robust recycling system requires each of those parts to be healthy and strong. In this session, we discuss the components of a robust recycling system with a firm eye on recyclers and end markets. What steps and policies could help grow Alabama's recycling system? Come to this session to dig in and plant some seeds.
